Every boiler we supply is “A – rated” for efficiency.​ All boilers since April 2018 are required to be at least​92% efficient  according to the Boiler Plus scheme and there tends to be only small margins between manufacturers in regards to efficiency above that guideline. New boilers tend to average around 94% efficient. In regards to efficiency it is important to consider the heating system as a whole. Other factors which greatly effect the efficiency are heating/hot water controls and thermostats, type/condition of heat emitters/radiators, quality of heating system water and treatment and thermostatic radiator valves. 1) to stay safe and ensure your boiler is operating as it should, Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer
2) to stay within your manufacturers warranty
3)  to prevent any minor problems/defects developing into more serious/expensive problems
4) A boiler engineer will check how the boiler is performing and make adjustments if necessary to keep your boiler running at its designed efficiency
5) to stay legal. If you are a business or a landlord it is a legal requirement and your responsibility to make sure your boiler is serviced and the installation’s inspected on an annual basis

If you have an oil boiler it is very important that it is serviced annually as the oil burners have a precise nozzle which can easily become blocked affecting the combustion of the oil. The oil boilers nozzle should be replaced on every service
